Hello! I’m a classically trained landscape painter whose journey began in Japan, where I studied traditional art before completing my art degree in the US. I spent most of my early career as a character animator at Blizzard Entertainment. That experience trained my eye for details and subtlety, but I eventually returned to my first love: painting.
Working in oil, gouache, poster color, and watercolor, I create landscapes inspired by my travels—especially to Japan—and plein air sessions around Southern California. I strive to create paintings of quiet, nostalgic moments in everyday life.
As a member of the Southern California Plein Air Painters Association and having exhibited with the Laguna Beach Plein Air Painters Association, I continue to deepen my practice by learning from fellow artists, observing the world around me, and refining my work in the studio.
When I'm not painting, you’ll find me with my family, friends, or my dog, noticing the little things—whether it’s a California sunset on a local hill or a quiet street in rural Japan.
